VISI
“To become an outstanding, competitive, and professional Elementary School Teacher Study Program for Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in delivering education, research, and community service at the elementary education level (MI/SD) nationally and in Southeast Asia, integrating science, Islamic values, and Indonesian identity by 2028. ”
MISI
In an effort to realize the above vision, the following mission has been formulated:
- Conducting education that integrates science, Islamic values, and Indonesian identity for prospective MI/SD classroom teachers through information technology, developing educational knowledge, and creating innovative works relevant to the role of MI/SD classroom teachers;
- Conducting research in the field of MI/SD elementary education;
- Engaging in community service through guidance and partnerships with MI/SD schools at both regional and international levels;
- Implementing a sustainable program management system based on ICT, collaborating with educational institutions at regional and international levels in the field of elementary education;
- Developing cooperation in MI/SD education with domestic and international institutions/agencies.
Objectives
Educational Objectives
- Pedagogical Competence: Graduates are expected to understand student characteristics, master learning theories, develop curriculum, utilize information and communication technology, conduct learning assessments, and practice teaching to improve MI/SD learning quality.
- Personal Competence: Graduates are expected to have a productive work ethic and uphold the ethical code of the MI/SD teaching profession.
- Social Competence: Graduates are expected to be inclusive, objective, empathetic, and communicate effectively in carrying out educational and teaching responsibilities at the MI/SD level, actively contributing to community guidance and development.
- Professional Competence: Graduates are expected to master scientific knowledge, develop creative and innovative content, and enhance their professionalism in primary education and teaching at the MI/SD level.
Research Objectives
The aim of conducting high-quality, competitive, and professional research includes:
- Conducting self-initiated research;
- Conducting collaborative research between lecturers and students;
- Conducting national collaborative research across study programs;
- Conducting national collaborative research with other universities;
- Conducting national collaborative research between lecturers and school teachers;
- Conducting international collaborative research between universities.
Community Service Objectives
- The community service objectives include:
Providing guidance by lecturers, involving students, to madrasah teachers in South Tangerang and South Jakarta; - Conducting community service activities involving lecturers and students in partnership with educational institutions, such as madrasahs or primary schools in South Tangerang and South Jakarta;
- Involving students and lecturers in community service through the School Field Introduction Program (PLP) in Jakarta and Banten.
Collaboration Development Objectives
- Collaboration objectives for the Islamic Primary School Education Study Program include:
Establishing partnerships in MI/SD education sciences with domestic and international institutions; - Partnering with institutions to enhance the skills of students and lecturers, both domestically and internationally;
- Engaging in collaborative research between lecturers and students with national and international institutions.
Science and Technology Development Objectives
- Implementing a sustainable study program management system based on ICT, such as using ICT applications, program websites, and university websites;
- Providing learning systems that utilize e-learning applications, e-books, e-journals, and other internet-based resources;
- Utilizing the Academic Information System (AIS) for consultation and learning;
- Encouraging students to develop learning materials base on science and technology.
Targets
The targets of the Islamic Primary School Teacher Education
Study Program include:
- Providing high-quality, competitive, and professional education at the national and Southeast Asian levels, including the development of teaching sciences such as classroom knowledge, pedagogical competence, and school field experience;
- Conducting research, including independent research, collaborative research between lecturers and students, national research collaboration across study programs, research collaboration with other universities, lecturer-teacher collaborative research, and international collaborative research between universities;
- Providing community service, including guidance for MI/SD teachers, partnerships with educational institutions, and integrated professional education programs (PPKT) at MI/SD;
- Managing ICT-based systems, including the use of ICT applications, program and university websites, e-learning, e-books, e-journals, and other internet resources, as well as utilizing AIS for consultation and learning;
- Developing partnerships in MI/SD education and skill capacity-building for students and lecturers through domestic and international collaborations and fostering collaborative research between lecturers and students with partner institutions.
