EDUCATION STUDY PROGRAMME

The Islamic Primary School Education (PGMI) Program at UIN Jakarta boasts a vibrant student body, encompassing a diverse range of cultural backgrounds, ethnicities, and regional origins from across
Indonesia. This diversity enriches the learning environment, fostering inclusivity, cultural exchange, and a broader understanding among students. Currently, the program has a total of 563 active students distributed across multiple academic years: 182 students from the class of 2024, 118 students from the class of 2023, 114 students from the class of 2022, 117 students from the class of 2021, 32 students from
the class of 2020.
The PGMI Program is committed to supporting these students in their journey to becoming educators who are not only knowledgeable but also culturally sensitive and inclusive, preparing them for impactful careers in primary education across various regions in Indonesia and beyond.

For the 2020 cohort, there are currently 32 students remaining, while the others have successfully completed their studies and graduated, consisting of 8 males and 24 females. The following year, 2021, saw an increase to 117 students, with 14 males and 103 females, indicating a growing interest among female students in pursuing a career in education. In 2022, the program welcomed 114 students (18 males and 96 females), followed by a slight increase in 2023 with 118 students (15 males and 103 females). The most significant growth occurred in 2024, where 182 students were admitted, comprising 19 males and 163 females.
Overall, the data illustrates not only the program's popularity but also its appeal, particularly among female students, highlighting the commitment of the PGMI Program to providing quality education in
Islamic primary school teaching. The student body of the Islamic Primary School Education program
at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta is diverse, representing a wide range of provinces across Indonesia. This geographical diversity enriches the learning environment, as students bring unique perspectives, cultural backgrounds, and experiences to the classroom.

This data represents the distribution of Islamic Primary School Education students based on their provinces of origin. The largest percentage of students come from Jakarta, accounting for 41.5% of
the total. This is followed by Banten at 24.6% and West Java at 31%. Several provinces have smaller representations, each below 1%, such as North Sumatra (1.6%), West Sumatra (0.5%), South Sumatra (0.5%), Southeast Sulawesi (0.3%), Maluku (0.3%), and Central Java (0.3%). This data highlights that the majority of Islamic Primary School Education students originate from Java, especially from Jakarta, Banten, and West Java.
